WhatsApp has officially released its long-anticipated iPad app, which will soon be accessible to all iPad users via the App Store.

The new iPad application fully replicates many of the features from the iPhone. It also supports iPadOS functionalities such as split-screen and multitasking, making using WhatsApp on iPad as seamless and efficient as on a smartphone.

WhatsApp has introduced a new voice chat feature for group conversations alongside the iPad app. Users can initiate voice chats in any group by swiping up on the chat screen. When this feature is activated, no notifications are sent to group members; users can join or leave the voice chat at any time they wish from the chat interface.

Additionally, the app has launched a new privacy setting called “Advanced Chat Privacy,” which helps limit the sharing of content outside WhatsApp for both individual and group chats. Messages and calls are still protected by end-to-end encryption by default.

With the new application, WhatsApp continues to enhance user interactions within groups, ensuring that iPad users can get the most out of the platform. New features are expected to be available for all users in the coming days.
