Huawei has unveiled its HarmonyOS 6 version, featuring innovations like the AI-supported XiaoYi assistant and enhanced file sharing capabilities across devices. HarmonyOS 6 has been introduced to developers with improvements such as an intuitive smart assistant XiaoYi, the Touch and Share feature, but is currently limited to Huawei devices.

Huawei has taken its operating system a step further by officially announcing HarmonyOS 6. This new version stands out with features such as an AI-supported smart assistant and improved inter-device communication.

During its Developer Conference, the Chinese tech company introduced HarmonyOS 6. The latest version boasts fine-tuned designs as well as AI integration. The new “Intelligent Agent Framework” has been introduced, including the personal assistant XiaoYi that interacts with users more naturally.

Touch and Share enables one-touch file transfer

XiaoYi can intuitively recognize user commands, providing results by analyzing on-screen content in addition to voice commands. The system assists with office tasks through tools like ChatExcel and offers support during application development processes. Huawei showcased these features live on stage.

Another innovation in HarmonyOS 6 is the Touch and Share feature, which allows file sharing or game connectivity with Huawei devices using only a screen touch. However, this functionality is currently limited to Huawei branded devices.

The HarmonyOS 6 Developer Beta Program is actively ongoing. Developers interested in joining must register and verify their identity through the Huawei Developer Alliance. The application period will continue until June 30. This new operating system will be available on specific devices, including Huawei Mate 70, Mate 60 series, Mate X5, and MatePad Pro models.
