Google, İlk Kez Günlük Hayata Uygun Yapay Zekâ Destekli Android XR Gözlüğünü Tanıttı!

It is known that Google has been developing smart glasses for quite some time. The company was collaborating with Samsung on a pair of glasses. Additionally, there were indications that a more everyday-friendly Android XR glasses would be forthcoming, but their real-life appearance had not been seen until now.

During the TED2025 event, the company showcased the demo of this product for the first time. Shahram Izadi, head of the Android XR department, took the stage wearing the glasses, giving us a first glance at what to expect.

Google’s Android XR glasses will resemble normal eyewear

Upon looking at the glasses, it’s clear they have a pleasing design. Much like the Meta Ray-Bans, these will be comfortable for all-day wear, with a design that doesn’t stand out, and furthermore provides a fully-fledged AI-focused experience.

At the event, not only was the design of the glasses revealed, but also demonstrations of their capabilities were presented. The primary focus of the device is the integration of Google’s own AI, Gemini. It was shown that the model can be used for various tasks including live translation, image recognition and analysis through the camera, and compatibility with Android devices.

The memory feature will enable Gemini to recall what it has seen

In the demo, Google executive Nishta Bhatia asked Gemini where she had left her hotel room key card. Gemini replied that it was behind the music recording on the shelf. This means it is capable of observing the surroundings through the camera and remembering what it detects. While we don’t know how far back the memory feature can recall images, it’s reasonable to predict that it will be an incredibly useful feature for devices of this kind.
