Microsoft has shared the new version of Windows 11 with users in the Release Preview Channel. The KB5055627 update with version 24H2 brings several AI-supported innovations. Notably, two eye-catching new features, Recall and Click to Do, will only be available on Copilot+ PCs.

Recall is designed to help make your time spent on the computer more efficient. Imagine you’ve opened multiple tabs, worked on documents, or read something, then suddenly you think, “Where did I see this?” That’s where Recall comes in. It captures snapshots of your screen in the background, helping you find the content again when you describe it.

Users can pause the screen recording at any time and ensure only the specified contents are archived. The Click to Do feature allows for quick actions on content displayed on the screen. It is reported that content can be directly transferred to related applications for tasks such as visual editing. It is also noted that on devices with Snapdragon processors, this feature supports additional capabilities like text summarization and rewriting. Both features are exclusively available on Copilot+ PCs.

Microsoft announced improvements to the Windows search experience with the update, additional functions added to the Narrator feature, and strengthened integration with cloud-stored files. Some new features in File Explorer will allow users to access contents more quickly. Additionally, certain interface bugs have been fixed.

Microsoft stated that some of the new features with the update will be rolled out to users gradually. The company also announced that some features would be accessible in Europe later. Furthermore, it mentioned that the Windows Recovery Environment might be temporarily disabled with this release, and this issue will be resolved in a future update.
