Cyberpunk 2077’nin İkinci Oyunu ‘Cyberpunk 2’ Ön Üretime Geçti: Ne Zaman Yayınlanacak?

CD Projekt has announced that it has reached a new milestone for the highly anticipated sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, now officially titled ‘Cyberpunk 2‘. Formerly known by its code name “Project Orion”, the game has now entered the pre-production phase.

According to the latest announcement, 96 developers are currently working on Cyberpunk 2, while the majority of the company’s workforce (422 individuals) is focused on The Witcher 4 project.

Cyberpunk 2 won’t arrive before 2029-2030

CD Projekt stated that the initial concept phase of Cyberpunk 2 has been completed and the project has moved on to pre-production, which includes planning and prototyping steps. This phase can typically take several years.

Although no specific release date has been announced, considering the company’s previous games generally undergo a 4-5 year development cycle, we might not see the new Cyberpunk title until 2029 or 2030 at the earliest.

While there aren’t many details available yet, Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the Cyberpunk universe, recently confirmed that the new game will feature a city other than Night City. According to Pondsmith, this new city will have an atmosphere reminiscent of “a dystopian version of Chicago”. This implies that we may see at least two cities in Cyberpunk 2.
