DeepSeek, a China-based AI company, has begun labeling all content produced on its platform as “Created by AI” under new regulations. The purpose of this decision is to promote transparency around AI-generated content and to eliminate the potential for misuse.

According to the company’s announcement, every piece of content will feature visible labels that users can easily recognize, in addition to hidden markers in the technical section. These visible labels may appear as text, audio alerts, or small graphics.

Removing or altering labels is strictly prohibited

Hidden markers will provide details about the content, such as its type, the company that produced it, and a unique identification number. Tampering with, removing, or hiding these markers is strictly forbidden. DeepSeek has also released a technical guide.

This guide explains how AI models are trained, the data used, and the steps content goes through. The aim is to help users better understand the technology and clearly see the source of content. These new rules are not only a decision by DeepSeek, but also part of the regulations introduced by the Chinese government.
