Google, Gemini ile ‘Yeni’ Özellikler Sunuyor (ChatGPT Kullanıcıları İçin Aslında Çok da Yeni Değil…)

While the artificial intelligence sector is currently dominated by GPT-5, Google is not staying idle either. The company has announced that it has introduced brand new features to Gemini as of today.

The most notable new feature is “Personal Context”. With this new capability, Gemini will be able to provide more personalized responses by remembering past conversations with users.

Introducing chat memory and temporary chats

For instance, if you previously mentioned your favorite comic book character, it could suggest ideas inspired by that character for a birthday theme. This feature will initially be available to Gemini 2.5 Pro users and will subsequently be rolled out to the 2.5 Flash version as well. Similar to ChatGPT, this new feature can be turned off in the settings.

Another addition is “Temporary Chats”. These chat sessions will no longer appear in the list of previous conversations and will not affect the “Personal Context” feature. However, these chats will be stored for 72 hours before being deleted.

While these features are new for Gemini, they have been in use in ChatGPT for quite some time. Well, better late than never.
