During the Nintendo Direct event held in Japan today, the beloved gaming giant Nintendo unveiled an unexpected innovation in software.

With their new system, dijital oyunlar are no longer restricted to being played on a single device; games can now be played across different Switch consoles and even shared with loved ones.

The company announced that the system named “Virtual Game Card” allows digital games to be played on different Nintendo Switch devices. With this new system, it was shared that digital content can be used flexibly, similar to physical game cartridges.

Nintendo stated that this new feature was developed especially for users who have multiple Switch consoles in the same household. They pointed out that users will be able to play a game on one Switch device and then continue on a different model. It was mentioned that games can be shared among up to eight users within the same Nintendo Family Group. To lend a game, all devices must be connected to the same wireless network, only one game can be borrowed at a time, and this lending period is limited to two weeks.

Nintendo announced that the “Virtual Game Card” system will be launched at the end of April. The company noted that the pre-order process will start on April 2 and that this feature will also be integrated into the next-generation console, Switch 2, which is currently under development.
