Launched by Meta as a competitor to X, Threads has been part of our lives since 2023. Although the app initially garnered significant interest, it lost some of its popularity over time. However, with the introduction of new features, it has started to regain user preference. Unfortunately, it has been unavailable in our country for a while due to ongoing issues with regulators.

Today, significant announcements regarding Threads were made. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, shared the user count for the microblogging application.

Threads has 100 million daily active users

Previously, announcements mainly reported on monthly figures. However, Zuckerberg broke new ground by revealing the daily active user count for Threads. According to the billionaire entrepreneur, the app currently has 100 million daily active users.

In addition, the platform has reached a total of 300 million monthly active users, surpassing a new milestone. While this data shows it still doesn’t have as many users as X, it indicates a gradual increase. Considering the declining interest in X, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to suggest that Threads could eventually surpass it. We will have to wait and see what unfolds.
